Cast Came off Today!!

I got my cast off today!! WoooHooo I can scratch where it itches now!!! I cried when they took it off though cause the of the scars. I did not like them at all! I also cried and screamed when they took the pins out of my thumb cause they hurt really really bad when they took them out. But my wrist is straight and so are my fingers. I am really happy about that. I will start therapy next week to try and regain use of my hand. They say that I more than likely will regain some use:) Keep praying that I will:)

I will post some pics.

Well I am off to bed. Long drive today and I am tired. Hey all those appts can wear a little guy out LOL

Hey everyone! Well I went Trick or Treating and got lots of Candy!! It was the best Trick or Treating ever!! We went to my mom's friends house and she had her house all decorated really awesome for halloween, it was soooo Cool!!!

Nothing else really happened. Been kinda boring. Going to post some pics of me in my costume. I was a Pirate:)

My Surgery

I had my surgery on Oct 8th. My foot took 1hr and I have a small incision on the back of my left heel and a green cast on. I get the cast off Nov 12th.
I had a lot of pain afterwards in my foot but after the 2nd day it didn't bother me that much. I didn't start walking on it til Oct 17th and am now walking perfectly in my green cast LOL

My hand and arm took 5hrs. They gave me a nerve block so I didn't feel any pain til 1am Oct 9th. It hurt a lot!!! I have 4 incisions, one by my elbow, one on top of my arm, one under my arm and one by my thumb and I also have 2 pins in my thumb. I had a lot of bandages and a hard split on it and just got that taken off today. Now I have a green cast on that goes up past my elbow.
I still have the pins in they don't come out til Nov 2nd. I got grossed out when I seen my incisions and the pins in my thumbs. It was gross!!! But what was great was that my fingers were straight and so was my wrist!!! I haven't seen it normal looking in 6yrs! It was Great seeing it straight!!

Keep praying that I get some use back in it!!!

Hey! I am behind in posting. It has been really busy around here so I will try to catch ya all up on my busy life lol
School is going Great! We have been working on our Christmas play which I play a lion. I can't wait to perform in front of everyone:)
Well I got to be chef for the day at my mommy's work and it was a lot of fun:) I got to wear a chef coat and hat and help with the food for the party my mom's department was having. I also got to help set up for the party and hand out tickets and call off the winning tickets. It was sooo much fun that I hope to get to do it again:)

Surgery date is set!!!

My surgery date is finally set:) Oct 8th is the date. Time still is not known yet but at least we have a date!

Surgery on my foot and leg will take 20mins and surgery on my hand and arm will take 2hrs. They said I would be in quite a bit of pain afterwards but they would make sure that they make me as comfortable as possible.

I don't care. I just want to have the surgery done. Mom is not so keen on it but this is something I want to do and she tells me over and over again that whenever I am ready to quit we will. But I am not ready to quit yet.

I'll have to have extensive therapy afterwards though. That is the only part of the whole thing I don't like. I never did like therapy. I have gotten better than I was when I was 2, I cooperate more but still I don't like it.

I am really excited about the surgery. Yeah I know you must think that I am crazy but I want to be able to walk better and for my hand to look as normal as possible and that means a lot to me especially since I play sports, the being able to walk and run better will really help. My hand, I just don't like people starring at it. I don't mind the questions but I just don't like people to stare at it.

Ok on to other things....
My brother accidentally took my homework to school so I couldn't turn it in and then when he gave it back to me it had a joke on the back of it so I had to turn it in with Tommy's joke on it. My teachers thought it was funny LOL

One of my mommy's supervisors told me how to get back at Tommy when he is mean to me. She told me to tape the button on the sprayer by the kitchen sink so that when Tommy turns on the water he will spray himself LOL I am going to do it, she even gave me a whole roll of tape to do it with HEHEHE. I can't wait to see his face when he gets sprayed!!!!! I will laugh soo hard LMAO

Recess was fun today!

I painted a heart for my mom today. I painted yellow because it was one of mommy's favorite colors and cause I am her sunshine:)

My brother been abducted by Aliens. Why did they give him back? Since he's mean and gives me wedgies. He was nice until they abducted him. So why oh why did they give him back as a mean teenager!

My day was fine. I had gym today. I got the hiccups lol
Recess was outside. I can't help it, I got the hiccups LOL
I can't help mommy type cause I got the hiccups lol

Because he wanted to get to the other side.

Tall Tale for the Day

Here is my Tall Tale for the day:

Long time ago there were a haunted house with people living then they die. Umm Oh I know, Next day new people come to the haunted house and they open one door and they find dolls, haunted dolls. They look in the kitchen and they saw pots and pans moving around. Then the look in the next room and find the couch moving everywhere and then they open the attic and they found monsters sneaking out.

Ok that is the end of my Tale for the day:)

Note from mom: Cody has a wild imagination and most of his stories never have an ending but I love them all just the same. One day I hope I can get him to tell "My brother was abducted by Aliens" tale. That one has to be my absolute favorite. Ok back to letting Cody talk.

Ok it is me, the Codeman. Not much went on today. We got to sleep in today which is very rare around here and it felt great. Mom made me French Toast for breakfast! I love French Toast, it is my absolute favorite. Then we took my brother to work, well not really work, he volunteers at the hospital my mom works at. He loves it and being his first year volunteering he won Volunteen of the Year!! We were all so proud of him!! Let's see what else did I do today. Oh I played X-box for awhile while mommy took a nap. She was up for 22hrs cause she worked and then had to pick up Thomas from school at 1am so It was about 22hrs and then had to get up to take him to work so she was exhausted and needed a nap. Then we painted and cut paper. I made cowboy badges for me and my friends at school. Watched some Tv and then picked Thomas up and then mom made dinner. Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes, I love Mommy's mash potatoes. Oh and she made me some Ice Tea. She makes the best Ice Tea ever!!
Well that was my day:) I am off to bed, I got school in the morning.

Mom's Slacking!

Yep, I told ya mom would slack at keeping my blog updated LOL I have no idea what I am going to do with her hehehe.
Well in truth nothing much has gone on.

School is going Great! Getting A's & B's:) Mom's Proud:)

Went to Tommy's football game and watched him play in the band at half time. I kept hollering WOOHOOO TOMMY! He said I embarrassed him LOL Good!!

Had my Well Child Doc appt. Complete bill of Healthy. Very healthy the doc was impressed because I am rarely sick and I mean rarely. She talked with my mom about me being in special ed and that she wanted me mainstreamed because she feels there is no reason that I should be in special ed which mom agrees but struggles with the school on that. See mentally there is nothing wrong with me but I have a physical issues, vision and I have no use of my left hand but I don't let that effect my life at all. Hey I was doing 2nd grade math in 1st grade. IEP is next month and mom will argue with them again on mainstreaming me.

Still waiting for my surgery date so far nothing yet. Said they were still working on it trying to set up an appointment. I wish they would hurry up, I am tired of waiting.

Next month I have my Neurologist appointment and Vision Appointment. Neuro appt should go well as long as she doesn't discuss weening me off my meds cause we already know what will happen: Seizure. I doubt she will go that way since I have only been seizure free for 5mths.

Well I guess that is it for now. Hopefully I will have a good tale to tell the next time I post:)

Papa & The Bees

Hi Everyone! Not much going on..School is still going Great! I got a 95% on my spelling test Friday:) Mommy was very proud of me:) Played computer games all weekend and that pretty much was it.
Today my Papa got stung by some yellow jackets..Hehehehe, I try not to laugh but it is funny. He was cutting grass and disturbed a nest of yellow jackets and they stung him on the hand, leg and got in his hat and stung him on the head. The sting on the head gave him a really bad headache:(
Tomorrow is mommy's day off from work which is soo cool cause then she isn't going to be soo tired. Hopefully we might be able to go do some fishing if the temperature can cool down some.
Still haven't heard anything on when my surgery is so I am trying to patient on the waiting but I really want to have it done now.

My day was Great! I was good and school and we got to go outside for recess but boy it sure was hot! If I was a popsicle I would have melted all over the place LOL
I helped mom bake a cake after school today and she let me do most of the work:) We are waiting on it to cool before we eat a piece:)
I am going to go play Putt Putt Saves the Zoo on my computer that my papa and granny gave me:)
Love playing games on the computer:)
Going to go play my game and eat a piece of cake...Yummy!

Ok Let's see if mom can remember to login in here and post. Probably looking for a miracle on that one LOL

Anyway, not much going on. Spent my summer fishing, and trying to stay cool.

I am getting to go for surgery on my hand and foot. I can't wait! I will be able to walk better and my hand will look almost normal. What can I say I am all about looking good lol

School started and I am enjoying it . My brother is still a pain in the butt, probably always will be, oh well what can I do.

Ok this is enough for my first post LOL
